When are practices & games scheduled?

Practices will start mid-March for Minors, Majors, & Seniors, late-March for Rookie, and after spring break for T-ball. leagues.  Practices & Games are scheduled on weekday evenings starting in April at 5pm and varying times on Saturdays (No Sundays).

In 2024, the Silverdale baseball season will end no later than June 22nd (tournament championship games) to better align with the CKSD school calendar.  T-ball and Rookie divisions will end June 15th.

Where can I find the rules for Silverdale pee wee baseball?

Rules are updated in Jan/Feb of each year.  You can find the latest version HERE.

Can players choose their coach or teammates?

ONLY T-Ball and Rookie divisions allow for coach and teammate requests during registration though they are not guaranteed.  Majors, Minors, Juniors & Seniors division players are subject to an evaluation and draft to ensure all teams are as competitive as possible.  One head coach and one assistant coach can partner but all other players will need to be evaluated and drafted unless there are other extenuating/emergency/hardship circumstances.

What are player evaluations?

Player pitch divisions (Majors, Minors, Juniors & Seniors) require players be evaluated for skill ranking.  This process allows Silverdale coaches to draft players by skillset to help ensure all teams are competitive throughout the season.  The evaluation date is usually set for late February (tentative Feb 24th, 2024) and includes a quick assessment of hitting (batting cage, 5-15  pitches), fielding & throwing.  T-Ball and Rookie divisions are not subject to evaluation.  The complete evaluation process usually takes less than an hour.

Can High School and Select Players participate?

Yes.  Be sure your coach is aware if player is playing with another league and how this will impact the practice & game schedule.  We ask that you do your best to make all practices and games but understand there will be exceptions.

High School players are still required to register by March 1st, attend player evaluations, and be drafted/assigned to a team.  They will practice and play games with their HS team until their season ends.  At that point they will join their Silverdale team, likely before games start in early May.  HS players may miss Silverdale games if their team makes it to the Varsity State Tournament.
