Registration Runs April 15th – July 5th: $350
**Registration fee includes the cost of the bow, shell, crop, skirt, bloomers, shoes, bag and water bottle. Parents will need to provide fitted black leggings, white no-show socks and a jacket if needed. If you’re cheerleader is new or if their jacket from the previous season is needing to be replaced, one can be purchased at the uniform fitting for $50 via cash, check, or Venmo. There will be a Cheer-a-Thon held beginning of August where cheerleaders can earn back $90 of their registration costs.
Required Uniform Fitting:
· Wednesday, July 10th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
· Cheerleaders are asked to arrive in a bathing suit or gymnastics leotard.
· NO MAKEUP is allowed during the fitting! Cheerleaders will be trying on actual uniforms that will be used during the season and we cannot chance getting makeup on the uniforms.
· Parents will receive an email prior to July 10th with more details and information.
Whaling Days Practice:
· July 24th and possibly 25th, from 5 to 7pm
· All cheerleaders for the 2024 football season are encouraged to attend.
· To participate in the parade, athletes must attend practices.
· Brief parent meeting at 7pm on July 24th.
Whaling Days Parade:
· July 27th Time to be announced.

Summer Practice:
· Starting July 29th!
· Parent Meeting on July 29 at 5pm
· Practices are Monday through Thursday- 5pm to 7pm. Friday Practices will be utilized in case a practice is canceled due to inclement weather.
· Practice Attire: Shorts, properly fitted gym pants, t-shirt, socks and athletic sneakers with proper soles.(Slip on sneakers will not be permitted). Long hair should be pulled back into a ponytail. No spaghetti strap shirts, visible midriffs, or excessively short shorts. Due to safety concerns the athlete cannot wear jewelry, chew gum, wear jeans, a skirt, flip-flops, or dress shoes to practices, games, and events.
· Practice starts promptly at 5pm. Athletes are expected to attend all practices each week in their entirety. If a cheerleader fails to attend at least one practice in any given week, it will be at the discretion of the coach as to whether the athlete will cheer at the upcoming game. Missing continuous practices, arriving late, or leaving early may result in removal from skill-based stunts and/or performances.
Post Labor Day
· Practices held on Monday and Wednesday 5 to 7pm
· An additional practice could be held on a Friday evening at coaches’ discretion.
· Games will be on Saturdays and the game schedule will be announced as soon as it is released.
Uniforms:
· Pom-poms will be provided by SPWAA.
· Black leggings will be utilized at the coach’s discretion depending on the weather conditions during games.
· There will not be a $150 uniform deposit this season, however it is required that the uniform only be worn at games and kept in pristine condition during the season.
· Do not eat or drink anything other than water while in uniform to avoid stains.
· Light makeup may be worn while in uniform. When applying the makeup, make sure your cheerleader is already in uniform and a cover is draped over the uniform to keep it protected.

Refund Policy:
· Minimum $20.00 refund fee applies to all refunds, including Buyer’s Remorse, Injury, or otherwise.
· “Buyer’s Remorse” (“full”) refund within 48 hours of registration. Refund fee of $20.00 still applies. Request for “Buyer’s Remorse” refund MUST be made via email within 48 hours of registration. (All registrations and refund request emails are time and date stamped.) Request must be made via email to the Registrar.
· 50% refund is available until the first date of practice (July 29, 2024); refund request must be made via email to the Registrar.
· After July 29, 2024, there is NO refund for non-injury*.
· Injury refunds will be pro-rated after practices begin on July 29, 2024. Late registration fees are non-refundable. A doctor’s note on letterhead is required for all injury refund requests.
· All gear must be returned to SPWAA before any refund is issued.
FULL PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEE is required at the time of registration.
